More of Bampa’s Shed and the Gardens…

Posted on September 21st, 2009 by Sophy Labbett

The chicken coop… Made from off-cuts of white board and grey scenic scatter sheet. The area around the coop is made of a combination of scenic scatter. The chickens are a polyglot collection (and include 2 geese).

The vegetable garden… I made all the veg from polymer clay, Cabbages, Lettuices, Cauliflowers, Carrots, Parsnips… apart from the crate of leeks.

In amongst the cabbages, the cat is keeping pesky rabbits at bay.

The rose climbing up the side of the shed is based on a rose that I was given for my birthday called Sophy’s rose. It is a beautiful fragrant rose, and I wanted to include it here. Bampas favorite flower was the traditional fragrant red rose. This one was made using a gift wrap/cord from a local garden centre with paper roses…

The flower borders were made using a collection of flowers, leaves, hornby trees, plasticine, tealeaves, and a pond. The colours of plants that I used came from photos of my grandparents garden… The bear, well I am never without a bear, and never was…
