Stitch-n-Time is underway
Posted on November 26th, 2009 by MarieOk, so I don’t know about you, but when I’m in a slump, it takes a special project to get me out of it. For most of the summer this year I’ve had no desire whatsoever to “mini”. Then, I was given the opportunity to start a new project; as if I really needed one but you know how it goes. Thus, “Stitch-n-Time” was created in my mind and is now becoming a reality.
I’ve always wanted to do a quilting/sewing/yarn shop and I am now turning the Magpies kit from The Dolls House Emporium into one. Above the shop will be the shopkeepers quarters, and her name is Danielle. I will introduce you to her in due course. For now, here are the first few photos of my endeavours thus far. You can click on the images to get even more detail about what each image is and what I’ve done.

Good for you, my father made my doll house about 40 years ago, I played with it as did my two daughter. I am now redecorating it and restaffing. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I am today. I am 56 years old and very gentle too.

Sean ,
Was so plased to read about your project. I too am creating a needlework shop ,with a classroom above for day students and living quarters above that for the proprietors. This is something I have wanted to do for many years – I never got the dolls house I yearned for in my childhood. I shall look forward to seeing your finished property. I am also working on Montgomery Hall! Slow progress but lots of pleasure.
