The Music room
Posted on May 3rd, 2008 by MarieThe Music Room. I’m not very far on this room yet, but it’s coming together. I used some wallpaper I got from Hobby Lobby. For the crown moulding, I separated the border section from the wallpaper and used it as a separate piece. The bottom edge of the crown is chair rail moulding and the top is regular crown. The shallow niche at the back of the room will feature a large oil painting, over the Bespaq Gothic Revival Console, of a little girl playing the piano.
The piano in the picture I already had on hand. It’s one of my favorite pieces of furniture because it really plays music…it’s a music box. The white chimney breast to the right of the room will have its own fireplace.

Hi I just wanted to say I love the level of detail that you have included in your house, I only hope I can achive this in my own house. I really admire the consideration you have given your roof too from the pictures, often the exterior can be an after thought but yours looks so professional and well thought out very clean and elegant.
Love it I hope to see more pics soon.m
Wow it looks really good apart from the harp its nice but its a different colour wood. Everything else looks fab – the chairs are nice.
I have just unpacked my basement and hope I do as well as you, this is my first build so looking for ideas, love the way you have done the firplace’s and all the other deatils, like you i think that the back of the basement hall is a waste of space haven’t decided what to do with it yet, but the way it all goes to gether is great. Would love to see more pictures.
