Welcome to the Curiosity Shop
Posted on June 16th, 2010 by Jess RutterSo the fun begins!
I fell in love with this little property when I saw it on Ebay. The seller has a range of very good value buildings but it was this one I simply loved! The detail on the staircase and the fact he engraves your shop name for free is brilliant!
It arrived after about a week (the seller does state 5-10 working days) and it’s currently on my bedroom floor in a huge box, un-opened. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m desperate and excited to rip it open and get to work but bearing in mind my appeal to my high school to drop Woodwork for my GCSE’s, DIY is certainly not my strong point.
So, I’m enlisting the help of my fifteen year old little brother who probably knows a thing or two more than me about this kind of thing. Unlike my first house (Wentworth Court) which appeared lovingly built and painted one Christmas Day, I am not going to rush the interior decoration at all. I ordered a book from Amazon yesterday about Edwardian Interiors (my chosen era for the shop) which will hopefully help me and encourage me to take my time to get it perfect!
I will keep you posted on my progress!

Hey guys,
Thanks for stopping by. I was mildly surprised to see this here as I arranged for the technical people to have it removed as I prefered blogspot’s format. Never mind! Head on over to: http://mini-curiosityshop.blogspot.com/ and see more posts
Thank you x
